SOAR Academy is a K-8 school, where all learners are provided with a highly rigorous, engaging and personalized education. SOAR seeks to attract a student population representative of the Hilltop neighborhood of Tacoma, WA. The daily school curriculum requires dance training, taught by our very own Director of Jazz, Erin Hocevar-Ortiz. 

 

In May of 2016, Syncopation Dance Project performed alongside the students of SOAR Academy in their annual showcase. The repertoire of pieces performed displayed a wide range of dance styles, so SOAR's students could see what advanced technique is various genres looked like.
